The 70th Annual Tony Awards took place last night at New York’s Beacon Theater and the stars and nominees came out to celebrate Broadway’s biggest night. First-time host James Cordon delivered a strong performance- while the awards show permeated with grief for the Orlando nightclub massacre victims there were highlights of the theatrical exuberance that Broadway does best. Lin-Manuel Miranda’s ‘Hamilton’ was the night’s big winner, taking home 11 Tonys.
As for who set the red carpet on fire, our top pick is Lupito Nyong’o who simmered in an off-the-shoulder embroidered and sequin gown designed by Jason Wu for Hugo Boss. Take a look below for the more showstopping looks.
